I do agree, slightly, with most spoken word being "crap" however, it is that small, small percentage of wordsmiths that have contributed immenseley to the intellectual discourse; Suheir Hammad is among those poets!Her resume speaks for itself. On the contrary, sister/brother, I think those who criticize blindly, do so, out of laziness and outright snobbery of the facts. I'm sorry to say, but I get a sense that your comments are rooted in agression and convaluted thinking.

i watched this i in my classroom and i almost cried being a black girl i always thought we got a lot of racism just for being black but after she read it i really thought about how much 911 affected arabs i really hate it wen she said someone asked her if she knew the terroist just because her skin was the color of the hijackers does not mean that she was one man racism never goes away cant everybody realize that we are all here for a reason and it is not to kill someone else for their race
