| boxing so much more dangerous than ufc boxers stand and punch each other in the head for 12 rounds mma incompases submissions, ground game and strikes and takedowns its not always shots to the head mostly the face and there usually knocked out or tapped out by the second round anyway its much more dynamic and exciting than boxing and football plus no deaths in ufc but in boxing there has been and ur always gonna have people tryin to ban it but its fan base is simply too great to stop it |

| I agree with Dana. I mean, I cannot even watch the old UFC b/c it's so violent, but people LOVE VIOLENCE. It's a part of humanity. Football is no different. We get excited when a player make a great tackle, yet football players can get hit wrong, land wrong, and can die if a scrawny back gets hit by Ray Lewis the wrong way. Football is no joke. I love it though as I do MMA. |

| Dana was saying that it was a joke of a thing to be on TV, because they basically put a guy (Kimbo) with no real skills or abilities into the ring and had him punching and brawling. That's not MMA. They put a terrible fighter that the UFC wont even let into their organization, because he's so amateur (Kimbo), up against another fighter who isn't very good. It just made it come off as very amateurish. MMA is a very technical sport. And eliteXC tried to brand it as some kind of blood-bath crap. |

| dana is disagreeing with burwells statement of MMA being barbaric. Dana says a statistic (true btw) maybe 1 death in MMA history where MMA isnt as dangerous as some of the sports advertised on television like football. Football players in their 40s+ cant hardly walk because of how messed up their legs are from the beating they took when they were younger while MMA (couture other 40 year old MMA'ers) arent near that injury level. he didnt mention boxing but theres deaths in boxing every year. |
