Also these three are among the top countries in opportunities to study in higher education, without having to save your life's spendings on sending your kids to college. You said something about extreme taxes and bad redistribution of wealth? In Human Development Index Norway ranks 2nd, Canada 4t

I don't think you get it... We have free healthcare and yes our taxes are bigger, but that goes back to us for free libraries, road services, public transportation, free education and other great social services. Fewer poor people too.

What are these ratings based on? If the health care is based on how many people have health care, then no shit it's going to be that way! As for Human Development Index, I'm not sure what that's based on either. So I have no way of knowing whether it means extreme taxes or not, and as for bad redistribution of health, I'm going by how our government based systems all work. Honestly, like I said, the rest of the world is getting more and more socialist. Of course their indexes will reflect that.

the rest of the world understands that communities help each other, pure communism doesn't work, and pure capitalism is brutal to a country's citizens. your ignorance shows from all the "i don't know so i will disregard that" comments. the rest of the world is not ignorant and they are more inclined to help their fellow neighbor. if freedom means that a fellow man will be left dying if his financial situation was to take a turn for the worse, i'd rather be socialist.

You vastly misunderstand me. I'm not saying, "Don't help your fellow man!" I'm all about charity. I'm just saying it's not the government's job to mandate charity. It's not the government's right to tell me what charities my money is going to either. I will donate to charity, quite generously I'd think, and I would be happy to help my fellow man, but it will be my choice to do it. The government forcing it upon me makes me want to do it less.

And I'm not just "rejecting them" through ignorance or anything else. I'm not even saying it doesn't work. I'm saying, if you want that society, -please-, move to those countries with that "great" society! Enjoy it, I hope it works. I don't want it though. I want a society where you keep what you earn, and you aren't required by the government to take care of other people through taxes. And this coming from a guy who works minimum wage right now. I agree with your fundamental points entirely, but are you aware that minimum wage is in fact the government mandating that employers MUST by law pay you a certain amount, and in a truly capitalist system your employer would be allowed to pay you whatever you are worth.? Minimum wage is really just an application of a price floor, plain and simple, and that goes against capitalism completely.

Firefighters and police officers are on a socialized system. Yet we deem it necessary to keep healthcare in the private sector. It makes sense, though. I perfectly understand it when health insurance companies deny coverage to someone with an ailment, because they would actually lose money paying for that person's needs. Making record profits off of people's lives is the best form of healthcare! If you agree with what I've just said, then you need psychiatric evaluation.
