paid two dollars to see him perform at The Jabberwocky at Syracuse University in early 1970. It was just before Sweet Baby James came out and he made it big. His music reminds me of dreams that didn't come true.

I was lucky enough to stumble across this video, which would result in me becoming a huge fan of James Taylor. This was the second song I heard that night by James- and about 31 seconds into this song, just after he finishes singing the opening line, I already had tears in my eyes. I had never heard something so beautiful and touching as this. A simple line, and a simple performance- just James and his guitar; and yet, everytime I listen, it STILL manages to move me in less than 30 seconds!

As an old hippie in my 50s, I remember when this album came out. I bought it! And now it's great to see him again here. It sure takes me back to my youth. And yeah even now all these years later, I've never tired of hearing him and his guitar.

Wow...I remember when this album came out, and we would play it over and over, every single song on the album, up, in my friend's bedroom, on her turntable, as young teenage women. It was fabulous to have grown up in the 60's.... "No one's gonna take that time away..."
