blackboy, although you're technically right,I don't understand your surprise. The fact that it's only provisional (and every scientist will agree about that) doesn't make it any less cool, fascinating and useful. It's the best tool we have for understanding life.

-it still beats religion, and if we didn't try to make advances in any fields we'd never come to where we are now, or in the future. If you still think that God put us on this earth as a part of His divine plan, I've got a nice video for you. There are no facts in science, only proven theories. You can't prove that something is true, only that it isn't false. That's the beauty of science, there's always room for improvement and isn't set in stone (irony?).
ok how do you think ... ( 1 month ago by blackboy1367002)
ok how do you think the world would be different if there was so such thing as faith? Say if there was God with all of his glory and there was no doubt in anyone's mind that he existed. How would you change your life?

if you have to see it from a religious point of view being a stubborn antieducational sort, see science as God's gift. from what i've heard from people like yourself, God put us on Earth so that we may look after it. Science helps us to look after it. when you give a worker a task, you usually give him the tools to do it with as well and science is God's tool. you dig?

I'm not stating the contrary. And I'm not approaching this from an "antieducational" point of view. I am an undergraduate at the university of oklahoma and will be graduating next year with a degree in Zoology for Biomedical science. I know evolution man.

:) Yeah I've met those types of people and from my perspective from both sides (religion and science) I still find it hard to believe natural selection is the great hand in all of life. I understand how it's a random process that isn't biased but randomness doesn't lead to the complexities of DNA replication. The only reasoning for it would be given enough time it would happen which goes back to the whole monkey and a paintbrush convo.
i see what you mean ... ( 1 month ago by pipmdirector)
i see what you mean. i suppose the best way of looking at it would be to see God as a force tat controlls the universe, kinda like a nucleus in a cell. the way science would look at it, we are the most successful product of millions of different "decisions" that chemical processes have taken, and that ours is the path whereeverything went right for us to get where we are. now the wuestion is, who chose the path?

i think a lot of things in science are cold hard facts. for instance, we are all genetically engineered from humanoid animals by a very technically advanced race of reptillians that live on planet nibiru.

furthermore is our hair and nails a waste product of the body which is destined to be discarded by natural process?
