| I said the car makes up some but the driver makes up more than the car though. A good driver in a stock car can get it to perform better than the avg driver. and a avg driver driving a "supercar" like the new high hp mustang or charger could easily spin out by pushing the car too far. |

| this one is my daily driver 78 Cougar XR7. It has alot of optional equipment it doesnt sport the standard 302 it sports the optional engine, and it sports the optional transmission not the C4 or C6. Other car the one with 340 ft lbs of trq is a 56 Fairlane (you can see one in this video clip) and that has the optional Thunderbird Y8 202hp/340trq out of a 2V holley (now a more modern 2V motorcraft carb that is same style found on my 82 F150 and my daily driver) |

| if you think mustangs are crap thats your opinion but to have oppressive views of a make is kind of ignorant because all makes have their good and their bad. Some would say Fords is the Pinto, Chevys is the Corvair, Dodge is the Superbird (not many were sold to the public due to the public thought the car looked ugly). Its all on what you like but I wouldnt go around saying shitford or slowpar or any of that stuff because that will get arguments and fights started. |

| There was a time with my daily I took and hit the gas too hard while making a turn the back end spun around but I made a foolish error in doing that on a narrow road and almost slid the back end into the ditch but thats where you learn what you can and cant do with a given vehicle. Some people baby their car but the thing is it is a great thing to know how hard to push the car because you might have to use it one day to correct yourself after losing control on wet roads or avoiding a wreck. |

| I think what I was refering to is not "drifting" as in sliding my back end around the turn. I know the car rolls but when you have power brakes and power steering its alittle hard to tell if the car is sliding or just the body rolling. But the car has factory swaybars front and rear and has upgraded swaybars and suspension thats what the XR7 package was a upgraded suspension and handling package along with some other things. |

| I do know ive turned down my street which i didnt turn the car 90* but it was a turn at a intersection at 30 - 32 mph just over 30 mph and the only thing I recall is the front left radial tire squeaking some and the body rolling mainly in the back since I cant get polyurethane end links for the rear swaybar. I retuned the engine on mine the thing just didnt want to run right and I got more power out of it by adjusting the timing using a vacuum gauge instead of a light. |
