Nick wasn't on this album a whole lot either. The album was mostly Roger and outside musicians. Besides...Rick really WASN'T contributing. His last composition was just 'Part 9' of Shine On You Crazy Diamond, eight years before.

yes, if I'm not mistaken they recorded this album with some orchestra. The wall and the final cut is really what made them split. Although I like them both, Roger wanted control of all lyrical and musical direction and the others were put out by Mr. Waters. It's a bummer man, big bummer.

This vid is so interesting. Is it saying that the rise of feminism is destroying the intrinsic role of men in women's lives or is it questioning the role of a particular person in a unique relationship as that persons role is diminshed by time?

Waters never tries to do that it's not up to him or to david. The most important thing is that david carried on with success in paying with pink with out roger despite the genius brain of roger!! well done david!!

One of my favourite Waters tracks. Painfully genius. When I started listening to PF this was the last album they had done, so I was overjoyed to hear the release of Momentary Lapse - PF always re-created themselves with a new sound on almost every album and MLofR didn't disappoint. A fantastic wall of sound the likes of which hadn't been heard before. So even though they lost the genius of Waters, they continued with their own genius, in a far more "jovial"? way. Still a sad break up though.
