| I think a good beat can't be made with mp3, cuz it's not pro to make that, but the CD quality is exelent and when you extract music from it, you can choose the highest quality... So what's the differences with vinyl? Just cracks and pops (like you can hear with first primo and mobb deep beats) and samples that sounds "older and true"? |

| When music is digitized, all the extreme highs and lows (treble and bass) are reduced, giving you a flatter sound with a slimmer range. Thus, you don't get the variation in sound that you can get with vinyl. |

| That is only true of compressed digital audio. What gives vinyl it's character is the medium and playback components which create artifacts in the signal being reproduced. Uncompressed digital audio is a lossless format and does not loose resolution on playback. But what would hip hop be without sampling from and scratching vinyl? |
