he's doing the song Future Legend from the Diamond Dogs album and he's doing it to explain what the city is that the alum is taking place in and how the dystopia in which it took placed worked. His dystopia is a love child between A Clockwork Orange with the gangs vying for power, !984 with it's harsh military stan point and place, and Mad Max with the wor in disrepair and large freakish animal. The song is weird as fuck but it's awesome. Just like David Bowie.

I need help can someone prove to me that David Bowie's concert was shown on ABC in concert back in 74 or 75. I remember wacthing a concert of Bowie on regular TV and not cable some more than 30 years ago. I like how they played "Space Oddity from the concert and they used a crystal(disco) ball to create a space type atmosphere. Its a shame that the song did not appear on David Live (a 2 record album). How I wish this concert would come out on DVD or Blue Ray it was a great concert for its time..
