| Exelent video. Just got a 2K w/no spark. Someone removed the oil tank (so I jumpped the connection) and I also had to jump some wires going to the carb. Not sure what they are but I got spark after that. I also wonder what the extra stuff on the top third of the carb is?? Should I go back to the oil res setup or just premix? It runs good premixxed but wants to idle high sometimes and I truned a screw on the carb in all the way to slow it. Must be related to the wires that I jumpped going 2 carb. |

| hey I just bought a 98 blaster that was sitting around for about 4 years. .the engine would turn over when I got it. I changed the spark plug and all the fluids cleaned our the air filter and the carb and now it runs but you need to give it gas or it'll just stop running. .any ideas? thanks. |

| I prefer premixing the gas that way you know it is getting oil (oil injection can fail)the carb is part of thr TORS (throttle overide system) It is an engineering failure on the blaster. Imroper connection or improper removal will disable the CDI from sparking. Do a google search for blaster tors removal. this should help u get up and running. |

| just a low idle. .I can play with the clutch and give it just the right amount of throttle to get it moving and once I kick into second it picks up quite nicely; but yeah it idles very low and just stalls if you don't give it gas |

| You can try turning the large screw on top of the carb - this will sometimes work. You shouls have a throttle cable adjustment under the rubber boot near the where the cable goes into the throttle. The latter is probably the option that will wor. good luck! |

| Low compression can cause these symptoms. Try changing the spark plug and cleaning the carb. If you can get your hands on a engine compression tester that can pinpoint the issue. |

| i also noticed the day after it started acting up when you kicked it oil was spitting out the silencer and dripping on the caliper and it backfires when kicking to sometimes |

| I wouldnt change the piston untill a compression test is done. no use in fixing something that may not be broke. Do you mix the gas properly? just thought I would ask - I have heard of people mixing up gas cans etc. |

| the compression test showed 80psi is that pretty good and im wondering my reed valve is getting dig marks in it from the reeds but im getting a new v force3 reed valve next monday |

| my piston and ring were worn like crazy we took the head off and we could move the piston sideways and the top of the cylinder measured 2.125 was that bored out |

| what kind of ski's are still using a one cylinder engine! That sounds insane to me especially for a sit down. I imagine this is only one part of the engine assembled and the other 1- 3 cylinders are elsewhere? |
