"He's playing the guitar upside down"? He's actually playing a right handed Strat left handed. He said that there was less likely to be something wrong with a righty and his playing takes advantage of the upside down controls. SRV even uses a lefty tremelo on his Strat so the handle will be above the strings, like Hendrix's.
