I'm a 'wall street' trader, and an investor. I don't support Ron Paul. But his statements that day made sense. As Rick stated, the Fed's monetary policy hasn't made sense for over 15 years. Bernake is inherieting a disaster from Greenspan (who, if you ask me, should be brought up on charges for economic crimes) and is trying to delay, so volatility can play price out on the indexes. CPI Inflation lowered a bit this month, but Paul was correct. PPI will carry over into the CPI soon enough.

Oh, and "Chicago" isn't Wall St. It's Main St. This is the problem. The Chicago folks understand that the PPI is GOING to flow over into the CPI. The producers can only hold back their rising costs from the end consumer for so long.

Well, so is McCain, and Clinton, that's why their getting the media attention. If any candidate is being propped up by the media, they are part of the CFR, because Rupert Murdoch, who runs NBC, and ABC is part of the CFR, as well as the News Corporation.

Bernanke is part of the problem because of his human error. Without human error we don't lose. It is fixed to destroy our standard of living by human errors, even Ron Paul's Human error in congress being there doing nothing. Let the american people decide their fate not Bernanke. 1 % on the dollar can do exactly that, with a new banking division in the social security banking institution. Letting Americans decide their fate.

The mandate of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 (and 77) is "to promote effectively the goals of maximum employment, stable prices, and moderate long-term interest rates." Thus far the Fed has created a housing bubble to promote employment. It has lowered interest rates too much which gives rise to commodity speculation (put the interest at 7% watch oil prices fall) leading to price instability. By no stretch of the imagination is Bernake following the Fed mandate.
