Only saw parts of the movie but never the whole thing. Even though I never saw the whole thing i still shed a tear for this. The music i think that they used was the most perfect for a scene ever. The music makes me think some how of how if you never give up on a dream like Rudy's that could be you. Not being carried off the field like Rudy but at least achieving your dream. Most inspirational ending I ever saw and will ever see.

Just everything about this scene is 150 percent perfect, from the spot-on Irish-inspired music, to the Rudy chant, to the coach, to the family cheering, the crowd, the shots of the father and the brother, the announcer, the fellow player brushing his helmet, the tackle, the friend screaming after the play, Charles Dutton celebrating, who's the wild man now?, the team lifting him, touchdown Jesus, subtitles, and the shot of Rudy at the end. It's 5 full minutes of gut-wrenching joy.

I remember the first time I saw this when he sacked the QB I shouted YES!!!! I was so excited. I bet the part in Forest Gump when Forest broke out of his leg braces and ran like the wins blows had to be one of the best movie Scenes also.

I have always loved watching this movie and everyone in my family is huge Notre Dame fans. We got a Gordon Setter puppy a couple months ago and named him Rudy, after Rudy Ruettiger of course. (:
