Hmmm he did hit cynthia once and he virbaly and emotianaly abussed Cynthia! He did love Yoko but it was not a good relasionship if it hurt the people he used to know! Thats not very good in my book.. i think people think its good since they are so selfish and want peace for them selfs! I think john just needed a mother and he choose Yoko for that! He even called Yoko mother! -_- people are so gulible!

Raw and personal. He's talking about the need to be wanted . It hurt him deep and it's likely that hurt and need drove him to become the biggest most successfull rock act in history.
At the time this recording came out he realized his fame didn't stop the hurt of his early childhood. Yoko, in many ways, did.
