Come on, Snow Patrol can take credit for writing a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics, but the song is as good as made for Leona. She puts so much emotion into it, that it makes me cry. The original doesn't have that power, and hence doesn't even come close.

I love her voice, but I don't think this song is as magical as the Snow Patrol version. As usual, Leona sounds amazing, but I think this song was made for Gary Lightbody and his understated eerie vocals. Plus, he wrote this about himself; I think it sounds a lot more genuine when he sings it. Still very VERY listenable though!! x

this song was never a classic, I mean who seriously ever heard it on the radio that much? I do prefer her veriosn, the snow patrol one has no lift, it's still a brilliant piece of musical literature, but Leona does it justice in a much higher way

her performance on top of the pops was fantastic but i do agree leaving out the last two verses of the chorus were a mistake. the original is one of my fave songs but this is also great

this is a very good version, and i think snow patrols version is just as good, they both bring different qualities to the song and dont really need to be compared.just enjoy them for what they are! :)

Exactly, I have no idea why people feel the need to constantly compare things. These people must have myserable lifes.. Bitter, and envy her tallent.. I like both Snow Patrol, an Leona grew on me since she was on x factor. Now I love her, she is simply the best artist out there.
