Though sang from a girls POV, this has a lot of meaning to me. The relationship I had with my ex was the strongest thing I had ever experienced. Until the day I was forced to make a decision to take her and her baby (she's a single mom) while losing my real family. May seem to be easy, go with her and forget your family, but I'm not the kind of guy to turn my back on the woman who gave me life and loved me unconditionally. When I hear this, it reminds me of the choice I'm being forced to make.

Why do women put up with men who cheat on them? Why is this song so "precious" to some? sadly, there are people who refuse to pull themselves up by their boot straps and just walk away. Life is short and only you can make yourself miserable. This whiny crying is what is truly wrong with country music today. It's not country. It's called pizz and moan.

People have different situations that make them strong enough to walk away or stand strong and hold on to the true love they have found. To ericclaptons guitar, i think u have never been in this situation. We believe in love that is so strong, that we overlook many personal things. U can only judge when u have experienced it. A "dirty mirror" is horrible if you don't see true love in your reflection. True country music is about feelings, good or bad.
