Thanks for this series of videos. I spent my summer in Okinawa and it was nice to see familiar, and unfamiliar places alike. Natsukashi na~. I thought you had great subject matter and managed to stay off the beaten track. However, if you are trying to go for a more professional feel I would recommend redoing some of the overdubbing so they don't sound as scripted. This segment and the one where you were hanging out with your relatives were my favorites!

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed the videos. I have a bunch more to come so tune in later for more. I will be heading south on the island to some of the more populated and famous areas.

Glad to hear it! So are you still in Okinawa then? You should check out Kouri Jima...i heard it was one of the more beautiful islands in Okinawa but i never got a chance to get there unfortunately.

Actually, I'm in Ohio. I meant I'll be writing and editing my way south over the next couple of weeks and months. I plan on finishing the series at the WW2 peace memorial. Only 14 more videos to go! I'm almost there. I was only in Okinawa for a month in October of 2006, but I can't wait to go back.

My wife is Japanese and she is from Tokyo. We live in my hometown in Upper East Tennessee. I have been to Japan at least once a year since 2000, but have never been to Okinawa. It's been great seeing your footage. Maybe I'll get to Okinawa on a future trip. Japan is the most AWESOME place!

It's sooo crazy, I've been to a good amount of these places since I've been in Okinawa. I'm here and go to Kokusai Dori at least weekly. I only have about one and a half weeks left in Okinawa. It was my first time here and seeing my family too. Thanks for posting these videos, it has definitely enhanced my visit because I know what places to tell my family that I'd like to visit. Thanks once more!
