If zucchini2007 were zuchini1907 instead, s/he might just as well have said: `I believe that mix-race marriage is demoralizing and abnormal, otherwise there would not be "fighting" for their so-called marriage rights.' Same EXACT logic. The bigots back then even had a name for what they opposed so strenuously: "miscegenation." Surprise, surprise: the children of mixed-race marriages turned out to be SUPERIOR in intellect, etc. One is about to become President of the USA!

It means your relationship with Jesus is far more important than your earthly ones." Really? Where does it SAY that? Can you tell me, WITHOUT violating Deuteronomy 4:2 and Revelation 22:18? According to those (or at least as strict and general an interpretation of those as you like to use against, oh, say, the LDS), you can't add a SINGLE WORD to the scriptures.

I will admit that I did forget something in my original question to you: you also have to HATE your WIFE and KIDS, as WELL as your father and mother, and your brothers and sisters. JESUS SAID that. And it is NOT out-of-context. He didn't just say that you have to love them less than Him. He didn't even say that you have to IGNORE them or NEGLECT them. He said you have to *HATE* them! Aych Aye Tea Ee. HATE. That's how HE defined "Christian Family Values."

Well, except for the several DOZEN TIMES in my life where I HAVE read the ENTIRE Bible. From Genesis 1:1 through Revelation 22:21, inclusive. Including the Apocrypha. KJV, NIV, and several other English versions. And I've researched the Hebrew and Greek origins as well. I have the KJV and NIV practically MEMORIZED. But other than that, no, I never have.

Just curious, ronarprfct: how many times have YOU read the ENTIRE Bible, from Genesis 1:1 through Revelation 22:21? Apocrypha not required. Any version. How many times? Be honest. Oh, and answer the question I asked: where does it say that Jesus really meant not loving your family as much as you love Him when He said to **HATE** your family in Luke 14:26? i always thought marrying cousins was weird n am not sure how many steps away from that to siblings would be, depending on how close you were growing up, etc. my issue is that gay marriage has been contested only on prejudice, bias, generalisations n popular opinion n ignorance i.e being gay is an act or choice, or behaviour etc. which if you were gay would no is not true n definately not that simple or easy, which this guy n many others are saying it is.

you too, have the idea that gay is an act. gay ppl will tell you that they have, atleast for as long as they can remeber, always been attracted to the same sex, with or without marriage they will still be attracted n be inclined to resipricate n have their attraction reciprecatd to lead to a loving relationship. marriage carries personal n cultural meaning n symbolism to show that relationship is special.

I was in the military during the Reagan years and during a time when homosexuals were not supposed to be there and I remember five guys getting kicked out because they partook in an all male orgy at a motel.
That radio interviewer is just more proof that America is too stupid to make someone like a Ron Paul their President. Ron Paul is the best of Jefferson, Jackson and Coolidge rolled into one but again America is too stupid for him
