Give up. The world will not listen, no matter how many punch lines you create and T-Shirts you manufacture. Wait a fucking minute! Your using a huge percentage of energy making your inspirational shirts in large factories, you hypocrites! The worst energy vampires I have are full size refrigerator (nearly empty) oven and stove in a one bedroom apartment. The refrigerator is the worst as it's usually nearly empty. If I put the second bottle of laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc at the back of the refrigerator, as well as keeping filtered drinking water in closed jars in there, I not only free up a lot of storage space, but keep the fridge from being so much of a vampire.

Yeah, but average life span of appliances is up to 12 or 14 years for most kitchen appliances and washing/drying machine. So for many people, like me, who treat their appliances good, are using 16 year old stuff that was out before anybody had heard of energy star. So that message is to people with older appliances telling them maybe they should update
