| i got a little question for any (american)english native speaker out there. actually, i don't have any problems pronouncing the 'th' sound; unless an 's' sound follows. how am i supposed to pronounce that? e.g. with somebody. do you have to pronounce them separately or is it getting combined to one single 'th' or 's' sound? any response would be nice. thanks:) |

| I think you would pronounce them separately. "with somebody" the 'th' sound is the tongue between your teeth while the 's' is behind so it's kinda awkard to combine them. Although when talking fast it sounds kind of combined :) |

| It's hard for others to say, too. Take it slowly and focus on moving your mouth into the correct position for "th". In time, the movements will become more automatic. Good luck! |

| Indeed, one can only understand how difficult a task is after trying to perform it oneself. I think it's a very useful experience for ESL teachers to study other languages. I have admiration for everyone who makes a strong effort to learn a second or foreign language. |
