Ask me about the Black Mamba and I will tell you what I saw in 1983 when I was in high school in Western Kenya. It killed my favourite dog "Simba" within 20 minutes after biting. Since then I am scared of snakes. We killed it, it was a giant Mamba but it killed our best friend "Simba". It's bite is deadly, more deadly than one can imagine. My grandmother who is 97 years old today saw it coming and myself 18 then didn't - that in itself was a miracle, it could have killed one of us.

Black mambas are one of the snakes that like to bite your face. It will jump up and sunk it's teeth right on nose, cheek,chin, or worse the eye. They can do this with lightning speed. Dont underestimate them!

Hmph. This video was mediocre at best. Lots of repeated footage, very little info about the snake, and a lot of diarrhea of the mouth. This narration is awful compared with those recorded 10 years ago for National Geographic. There was no mention of the fact that mambas are territorial, and that during the mating season they will actually chase intruders out of their large territories, or bite and kill them if they don't run. Too politically correct, and very low-budget for NG.

Taipans would rather stay away from you than send you to the hospital or graveyard, plus they cant bite many times like the Mamba or Cobra. As for the King Cobra, I'd rather deal with one of those than the Mamba. Mambas are known to bite repeatedly, sometimes up to twelve times in a single spot! Ouch...
